The Miracle of the Resurrection
Once when Saint Francis Xavier was in Coimbatur, on the Pearl Fishery Coast, he was getting ready to start a mass in a small church when all of a sudden a group of people burst into the church carrying the body of a small boy who had drowned in a well. Saint Francis had baptized the boy, and when his mother saw her son lifeless, she threw herself at Saint Francis' feet and begged him to save her son. Saint Francis Xavier recited a short prayer, took the boy by his hand and ordered him to life. He was resurrected immediately and ran to his mothers side.
This was just one of the many miracles the Saint Francis Xavier performed for resurrections. There are many more recounted in his history, where families believed they had lost loved ones, and with Saint Francis Xavier's belief and prayers he brought those that were thought to be lost back to life.
